Where to start

This 6-week (30 min/week) program is FREE! Gear is available to use during the session.
Skating experience is required and registrants must have completed at least (1) Learn to Skate session here or with another rink's program.

Printscape Arena offers multiple programs for people with a desire to master the skill of ice skating.  We have developed a world class program that provides all participants a positive atmosphere to achieve their goals, whether they are to simply learn to ice skate for fun or to become a hockey player/figure skater.

LITTLE PENGUINS

Introductory Learn To Play Hockey Program for 4 to 9 year-olds sponsored by the Pittsburgh Penguins and the National Hockey League (NHL). Little Penguins is an all-inclusive program, making it the perfect first step to learn fundamental skills on and off the ice!
Completion of Take a Shot at Hockey, Learn to Skate or a similar Learn to Play program at another rink's equivalent is required for enrollment.

One class per week, 8-week program. Equipment is available through the Little Penguins registration supported by Dick's Sporting Goods. This program is offered to first-time players only.

Learn the Game 2.0 - Little Rebellion is the second step in the Learn To Play Hockey Program for participants ages 6 to 10 who have satisfactorily completed Take a Shot at Hockey, Little Penguins or another rink's equivalent are required for enrollment. Repeat enrollment for participants who remain age-eligible.

Full equipment required and is not provided.

Junior Rebellion Developmental Program is the third and final step in the Learn To Play hockey model for participants ages 7 to 11 who have satisfactorily completed Take a Shot at Hockey, Little Penguins, Little Rebellion or another rink's equivalent are required for enrollment. Repeat enrollment for participants who remain age-eligible.
This program is ideal for the hockey player that doesn't want the time and financial commitment of travel hockey.

The South Pittsburgh Hockey Club was chartered in 1994 to organize and conduct ice hockey teams for all ages.  SPHC operates an amateur hockey program for boys and girls from Mite to Midget levels (ages 5-18).
